		EYECANDY for the BONEYARD ARTS FESTIVAL........ DUE: THURSDAY APRIL 12 There's a big deal all-night HAPPENING happening on Friday April 20 and Saturday April 21. It's part of the Boneyard Arts Festival here in Urbana-Champaign. The event has a bunch of bands, some performances and installations. We're gonna make a video piece that will be projected at various times throughout the evening. Or it might just loop endlessly on our own projection. Jason Finkelman - musician and producer of this event - will come and talk with us about the whole thing. 30 SECONDS, NO AUDIO O.k., this is what each and everyone of us will do: everybody needs to contribute a 30 second video (a quicktime movie at full DV resolution: 720x480, full screen - NO LETTERBOX OR 16:9 FORMATTING). The start frame and the end frame are the exact same frames for everyone. The star of our mighty epic is the enigmatic Rubick's Cube. If you'd like to "check-out" The Cube to shoot live-action or stop-motion sequences - please do. Since it's gonna be shown at a loud HUGE SHOW, let's not bother with the audio - we'll just pull a John-Cage: whatever sound/music is playing at the time our epic FILM is playing is the soundtrack of the epic FILM. Everybody gets their video in to me, I'll put them all together into a big beautiful, seamless movie. It will loop. Forever. START FRAME / END FRAME and COLOR PALETTE This layered Photoshop file will be available on the server in our class folder. The Photoshop file will have a layer marked COLOR PALETTE. Restrict your piece to the color-realm of this palette. OBJECTIVE Visually stunning. Visually satisfying. Pretty. Fancy. Oooo. Ahhh. Gorgeous. Seductive. Lucious. Hypnotic. Can't take your eyes off it.
